AIG Signs Web-based Travel Insurance Management System agreement with Global E-Commerce


Global E-Commerce (GEC) has signed an agreement with AIG Pakistan to provide services for electronic issuance of travel insurance products through Travel Insurance Management System (TIMS), a web based travel insurance management system, designed by Global E-Commerce. Through this agreement AIG will take advantage of TIMS to extend its reach to travel agencies nationwide. 


The signing ceremony took place at the Global E-Comm office in Karachi and was attended by from GEC Mr. Ali Naqi Taqi - CEO, Mr. Shaheen Premani - Senior Vice President and Muhammad Sabir, Manager E-Commerce Products and from AIG Mr. Hasan Dossani, CFO, Mr. Akif Zia Malik, Manager-Accident & Health and Mr. Sheeraz Ahmed, Manager Travel Business. 


Commenting at the event Mr. Ali Naqi Taqi said: “Partnership between AIG and GEC is a milestone; it will show the world the emerging strength of GEC.” Mr. Taqi added that “Distribution with TIMS will further enhance AIG capability to move to next generation of e-policy distribution for travel insurance. “ 


Mr. Hassan Dhossani, Chief Financial Officer said: through TIMS we can quickly activate travel agents with a simple entry format and we can give immediate approval on our insurance policies to our customers.
