Night Cricket Tournament 


Saturday 15th August, 2009: Galileo Pakistan organized an exciting Night Cricket tournament for Galileo & Airline at a well-known Cricket Ground in Karachi. 


Five top international airlines (Emirates Airlines, Gulf Air, Cathy Pacific Airlines, Qatar Airways and Saudi Arabian Airlines) participated in the event along with Galileo Pakistan. All the Teams were represented by their top management and were divided into two groups.

A Tournament kicked off with opening match of Group A between Saudi Arabian Airlines and Galileo Pakistan followed by other group matches it was an exciting tournament and seen some great batting, bowling and fielding performances from all the teams. After the group matches and semi-final Gulf Air and Emirates Airlines qualified for the final. 


Final match was very exciting moment for both the teams and audience was able to see some great sporting performances from both teams, however in the last over Emirates airlines took the show by scoring the winning runs. 


Mr. Wasi Ahmed Siddiqui, Head of Vendor Department and Mr. Muhammad Sabir, Sales Manager South awarded winning trophies to Mr. Mirza Atif Baig, Emirates Airline and runner up trophy to Mr. Khalid Mehmood Gulf Air and Man of the Match award to Mr. Jamshaid of Gulf Air. 


Commenting at the event Mr. Mohassin Irtaqa said: “Many congratulations to the winning team also would like to extend my gratitude to the participated teams for their presence in the tournament that aimed at refreshing our passion for cricket.”
