ATM a Major Success for Galileo by Travelport
Galileo major presence at ATM 2009
Reinforcing its position as the leading global distribution system (GDS) provider in the Middle East, Travelport, operator of the Galileo booking platform, enjoyed great success at this year’s Arabian Travel Market exhibition, which took place in Dubai from 5-8 May. Marking its ATM debut since it began direct operations in the Middle East, Travelport made a big splash showcasing its latest product offering at its lively stand, where it highlighted the capabilities of its Galileo platform with live demonstrations of products such as Galileo Leisure, E-tracker and E-pricing The Travelport team was out in full force at the event, including representatives from distributors from across the region.
Leading the Galileo Pakistan team was ND Head Mohassin Irtaqa, who was on hand throughout the show with his team members Khurram Tufail, Manager Sales & Support North, Muhammad Sabir, Manager Sales & Support South and Shoaib-ur-Rehman, Branch Manager Multan to meet with members of the travel trade.
In support of Travel Agents’ Day, Travelport’s Regional Training Manager Ibrahim Marmoush lent his expertise in an interactive panel debate which focused on the importance of agent training. Travelport also sponsored the ‘Passport’ competition of the day-long event, giving away a major prize to a lucky travel agent winner.
We received an excellent responsive from the trade at this year’s event, which not validates the interest in our cutting-edge offering, but underscores the strength of our exceptional team.
