Islamabad Road Show 2009 


Taking another step towards paradigm shift of the industry, Galileo Pakistan organized Product Road Show for its customers and travel fraternity at local hotel in Islamabad. 


The core idea of the event was to educate travel agents on Galileo Products as well as to make sure that everyone understands and adheres to the code of conduct of using GDS and works towards saving airlines costs when making reservations on GDS. 


The Galileo Road Show witnessed a massive turnout of the owners and directors representing travel agencies and airlines management. Col. Liaquat Shah, Manager North and Mr. Khurram Tufail Manager Sales and Support North along with Galileo staff welcomed the guests. The program kicked off with Welcome speech by Mr. Khurram Tufail then Mr. Mohaasin Irtaqa, NDC Head and Mustafa bin Akhtar, Senior Galileo Executive took guests through comprehensive presentations comprising 20 Galileo products categorized in different areas includes distribution, technology, productivity, self-learning and value added services for travel agents. 


Further, 6 Galileo Airline products were explored that meets the training needs of travel agents as well as increases productivity and simplifies airline operations. Later Mr. Shaheen Premani, Group Senior Vice President enlighten the audience on key issues of the industry followed by heated questions and answers session. Lunch was served at the end of the session. 


Commenting at the occasion, Mr. Shaheen Premani, Group Senior Vice President said “times are tough for all; therefore we should work towards saving costs for the airlines by adapting prudence while making reservation on GDS and use technological products that enhances per transaction yield for the travel agents.” 


Upon sharing his views at this gathering, Mr. Mohaasin Irtaqa, NDC Head said “the Network created by bringing everyone on this platform is going to result into a win-win for all parties”. 


The owners and directors representing travel companies and airlines managers presence appreciated the candid efforts of Galileo to address industry challenges and felt enlightened about the offering of a variety of products
