GIA Cricket Tournament 2009 


Karachi, Sunday 8th February 2009: Galileo Pakistan organized an exciting Cricket tournament named GIA (Galileo, Insurance and Airline) Cricket tournament at a well-known Cricket Ground in Karachi. 


Teams from Airlines, Insurance Company (travel product division) along with Galileo participated in the tournament. Teams were represented by their top management and were divided into two groups. After a splendid batting with smashing boundaries & sparking fifties, aggressive bowling and some good catches in the field in each group matches and semi finals, Gerry’s GSA division and AIG qualified for the finals. 


Final match was very exciting moment of truth for both the teams and audience was able to see some great sporting performances from both teams, however in the last over Gerry’s GSA division took the show by scoring the winning runs. 


Mr. Saheen Premani, NDC Head Galileo Pakistan, Muhammad Sabir, Sales Manager South and Wasi Ahmed Siddiqui, Head of Vendor Support awarded winning trophies to Gerry’s GSA Division captain Mr. Aamir Azeem, runner up trophy to Mr. Sheraz from AIG and Man of the Match award to Mr. Maqsood from Gerry’s GSA Division respectively. 


All the participating teams enjoyed the tournament and greatly appreciated Galileo’s efforts to organize such event and expecting similar kind of events to be held in future.
